The Russian Tavern

A traditional stone-built village inn overlooking the yacht bay at Port Bannatyne on the totally undeveloped and beautiful Isle of Bute in Scotland. Run by a Russian family the hostelry has been tranformed into a Russian Tavern of Imperial times, with piano, open fireplace, games of chess and dominoes, wild flowers and candlelight, and local live beers poured direct from the casks on the bar. Freshly landed seafood is served all day and a la carte Russian cuisine.
