(ARES) and Hilton Hotels Corporation recently solidified a decade long relationship by entering into a direct connect agreement which will integrate the companies' reservation technology. Direct connect integrations are the wave of the future in hospitality networking, allowing online travel agencies access to hotel rates and inventory without having to manually manage them at the property level. The enhancement also allows Hilton Hotels to increase their distribution while maintaining the integrity of their brands. The technology teams from both companies are busy at work building the connection which should be live before the summer travel season arrives. Once complete, the integration will open the door to an expanded product offering which encompasses the full range of Hilton hotels and related brands including Conrad, Doubletree, Embassy Suites, Hampton and Hilton Garden Inn.
